P6 Mathematics test papers

This page collects past year examination papers for Primary 6 Mathematics from Singapore schools. The materials cover a range of assessment rounds schools typically administer across the final year of primary education. Parents and students can use these papers to practise problem-solving under timed conditions and recognise question patterns. For current information on the P6 mathematics syllabus and any weighted assessment changes, refer to an official source. [CITE: subject-syllabus] [CITE: weighted-assessment]

USING THESE PAPERS

How to work through P6 Mathematics papers

Start with the most recent paper you have not attempted. Do the paper in a single sitting under quiet conditions, timing yourself as instructed by your teacher or school. After scoring, mark every mistake—do not just note the correct answer. For each error, ask: was the mistake from misreading, a missing step, a wrong operation, or not knowing the concept? Write the type beside each wrong question. Then redo only the questions you missed, without looking at the worked solution. If you still cannot solve it, check the worked solution and try a similar question from another paper the same week. Parents should look at which concept areas keep producing errors—such as fractions, geometry or heuristics—and arrange extra practice on that topic before moving to the next paper. Avoid doing more than two papers a week; quality of review matters more than quantity. For guidance on the current PSLE mathematics format, always confirm with your school or MOE. COMMON QUESTIONS

P6 Mathematics questions

Are the papers here similar to the actual PSLE Mathematics exam?

The papers are from school assessments, not PSLE past papers. While question styles often overlap, format and difficulty may differ. For details on the current PSLE mathematics paper structure, check MOE's official publications. [CITE: psle-format]

How many years of papers should my child practise before PSLE?

Quality over quantity. Doing two to three recent school papers thoroughly, reviewing each mistake, usually provides enough exposure. The archive here covers many years, but using the most recent three to four papers from one or two schools is often sufficient.

Does this level still sit formal weighted assessments?

MOE has revised the assessment framework for primary schools in recent years. Some P6 cohorts may have modified weighted assessments or no formal examinations for certain components. Check your school's guidelines to understand what applies this year. [CITE: weighted-assessment]

My child keeps making careless mistakes in maths. How can the papers help?

Use the papers to build a habit of checking work. After each practice paper, have your child circle all questions they thought were easy but got wrong. Then discuss whether the mistake was rushing, misreading, or calculation slip. Consistently practising this review method often reduces errors.
