P6 Higher Chinese test papers

Higher Chinese at Primary 6 is an enriched mother-tongue programme for students who demonstrate stronger language ability. How to work through P6 Higher Chinese papers

Start with the most recent papers first, as they are more likely to reflect current question trends. Work through one complete paper at a time, timing yourself as you would in an actual test. After finishing, check your answers thoroughly. For mistakes in comprehension, reread the passage to identify where you went wrong. For composition, compare your structure and vocabulary with model answers if available. A parent might look at the types of errors—are they vocabulary-based, grammar-based, or comprehension-based? That helps target revision. Do not attempt all papers in one sitting; spread them out over weeks. Use the early rounds (CA1, WA1) to build foundation before moving to SA1 and Prelim. How is Higher Chinese different from Standard Chinese at P6?

Higher Chinese covers more advanced vocabulary and expects stronger reading and writing skills.
