For Chinese, pay attention to characters that were written wrongly, phrases that were misused, and comprehension passages that were misunderstood. Ask your child to rewrite incorrect characters three times and to explain the correct answer for each error. A parent can help by reading aloud the listening script (if available) or by quizzing vocabulary from the paper. If your child struggles with a particular section, such as cloze passage or composition, do two or three papers focusing only on that section. Avoid doing more than one full paper per week; spaced practice is more effective than cramming.
