P4 Essential Skills to Score in Science

Essential Skills to Score in Science for Primary 4 is part of a series of four books written in accordance with the latest Primary Science syllabus issued by the Ministry of Education. This book comprises two themes, Cycles and Energy. All the process skills required in the syllabus are covered and thoroughly explained. In each topic, relevant process skills are highlighted for each worked example.

In addition, a thought process is provided to teach pupils to think in an organized manner. The practice questions are designed to test pupils’ understanding of the skills and Science topics. Challenging multiple-choice and open-ended questions further integrate skills with concepts to train pupils in higher order thinking.

Answers with explanations are provided to facilitate self-checking or marking by teachers and parents. Useful teacher’s tips given in the answer key highlight important things to take note and help pupils to maximize their score. A glossary with concise definitions of the difficult terms used in the book is provided as well. This book serves as a good revision for pupils.
